About GHosting

Small company. Serious servers.

GHosting is an independent game server host built and operated by a small European team at Bytewave OÜ. There is no maze of brands or outsourced first-line support behind it. The same team builds the panel, operates the machines, and maintains the game installers that run on them.

01

Built from game-hosting experience

GHosting was launched in July 2026 by a small team led by an engineer who previously worked at a major game hosting company. That experience included the unglamorous parts of hosting: provisioning, broken updates, overloaded machines, mod compatibility, support incidents, and the difference between a server that merely starts and one players can actually join.

The company exists to make a smaller, calmer version of game hosting. Plans use explicit RAM, CPU, and storage. Servers do not renew automatically. The control panel exposes the useful controls without pretending every game works the same way.

02

Each game has its own machinery

Every supported game has a dedicated installer, configuration model, readiness check, and port allocation. Project Zomboid gets its two independent UDP ports and Workshop ID handling. Unturned gets a protected Steam GSLT and native Workshop downloads. Terraria keeps vanilla and tModLoader as distinct variants.

Customers see a consistent panel, but the system underneath respects how each game really behaves. That is why the settings form can stay simple without flattening everything into unreliable generic templates.

How we test

A real server goes through the real path.

A green health check on the website is not enough. Production verification exercises the same provisioning and game-management flow a customer uses.

  1. Install from scratchWe regularly run the same game installers used for customer servers on live infrastructure.
  2. Confirm the game is playableA successful download is not enough. We check that the game starts correctly and is ready for players.
  3. Test settings and restartsRepresentative settings are changed and applied through a real restart, just as a customer would use them.
  4. Exercise game-specific featuresWhere relevant, checks also cover variants, Workshop mods, and the parts of setup most likely to break after an update.

Terraria, 7 Days to Die, and Valheim already run through this daily gate. Other supported games are tested as part of releases and are being added to the same schedule, including mod checks where Workshop support is part of the product.

What customers can expect

  • Clear fixed-term pricing with no automatic renewal.
  • An isolated container with the resources shown at checkout.
  • A seven-day file-retention grace period after a paid term expires.
  • Direct access to a team that can inspect both the panel and the host.
  • Honest documentation when a game or platform has a real limitation.
